DJ Amir puts needle to the groove with sounds of the diaspora, from Latin heat by Celia Cruz to Brazilian rhythms by Wilson Simonal to West African grooves from Ebo Taylor and Effi Duke. Meth and Red spit fire on Loaded Lux's "Rite", Jamila Woods and Noname stay woke on "VRY BLK", Mndsgn funks philosophical on "Use Ya Mnd", and Nico Gomez summons forces of nature on the volcanic "Ritual".

@triptatusel: That part is from James Brown's "Make It Funky"
Hey!!! I guess I found!!!
Thank you @Prefessor Groove
But can you tell who sings magic words "We Get Funky" in that beginning? Please!
@triptatusel: Drums are from the Shaft In Africa theme
Hi! Please, help to recognize the artist in the very beginning of the intro!
Those drums... so cool!
wefunk, I used to vibe to all the archives back 10 years ago during school.
Got into the fast lane and forgot all about you guys, thanks for always keeping it real!
I'm back as a loyal listener again :)
That was such a brilliant set! Great way of breaking up sets of salsa with funk and hip hop. Keep it bangin'!
cya in munich!
I was loving Amir's set. Especially the Salsa. Salsa is such an important part of the Hip Hop culture growing up in New York. It was one of the main genres you heard in the streets in the 80´s.
I'd ask for more salsa-heavy sets if it didn't mean taking away from other things! Amir's 1st set was too much fun
